Lately, life seems out of control! B-U-S-Y. And as I talk with others, they’re feeling the same way. You may be feeling stressed today – a health issue, finances, a difficult relationship, job, responsibilities, family, a loss, or just being pulled in multiple directions.

When I feel this way, the best thing I can do is sit down and meditate on God’s Word. His words calm and soothe in every situation in life.

So, today, listen to God’s Word, and let it encourage you in whatever situation you’re facing. These are verses I wrote in my journal one morning this week.

“I would have despaired unless I had believed that I would see the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living. Wait for the LORD; be strong and let your heart take courage; yes, wait for the LORD.” Psalm 27:14

“Cast your burden upon the LORD, and He will sustain you; He will never allow the righteous to be shaken.”  Psalm 55:22

“When I am afraid, I will put my trust in You. In God, whose word I praise; In God I have put my trust; I shall not be afraid. What can mere man do to me?” Psalm 56:3-4

“But as for me, I shall sing of Your strength; Yes, I shall joyfully sing of Your lovingkindness in the morning, for you have been my stronghold and a refuge in the day of my distress. O my strength, I will sing praises to You; for God is my stronghold, the God who shows me lovingkindness.” Psalm 59:16-17

“Seek the LORD and His strength; seek His face continually.” Psalm 105:4

“Yet those who wait for the LORD will gain new strength; they will mount up with wings like eagles, they will run and not get tired, they will walk and not become weary.” Isaiah 40:31

“Do not fear, for I am with you; do not anxiously look about you, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, surely I will help you, surely I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.” Isaiah 41:10

“And the LORD will continually guide you, and satisfy your desire in scorched places, and give strength to your bones; and you will be like a watered garden, and like a spring of water whose waters do not fail.” Isaiah 58:11

“Now to Him who is able to do far more abundantly beyond all that we ask or think, according to the power that works within us, to Him be the glory in the church and in Christ Jesus to all generations forever and ever. Amen.” Ephesians 3:20-21

When life seems overwhelming, look to Him, and listen to His Word.
