Joshua: Anchored in the Battles of Life
What battles are you fighting today?
Just as Joshua and the Israelites faced physical battles with the Canaanites as they went in to conquer the Promised Land, we also face battles in life as we seek to embrace the abundant life God promised. Our battles may not be physical battles like the Israelites fought, but we’re going to face battles in other ways—health battles, relationship battles, thought battles, spiritual battles, and on and on. Will we fight those battles in our own strength, or will we cling to Christ, our sure and steadfast anchor? This seven-week study on the Book of Joshua walks us through how to stay anchored in God in the battles of life.
Anchored: A Study of 1 Peter
As our world continues to change, and the daily storms of life beat upon us, how do we stand firm in our faith?
Jesus is our Anchor. He is the One who holds us steady and keeps us from being pulled away from our faith. Will we hold fast to our Anchor, or will we look elsewhere for strength, guidance, and peace when our world seems to be spinning out of control? This eight-week Bible study of 1 Peter shows us how we can stay anchored in Christ regardless of what is going on in our lives.
Learning from the Master: A Study on the Life of Christ
What would it be like to walk with Jesus as the disciples did, to be with Him every day, and to learn from Him in real life experiences?
How would it impact our lives to watch Him pray, to observe His interaction with people of all walks of life, and to sit under His teaching? Even though we’re not able to walk physically with Him today as the disciples did, we can still learn from Him. Learning from the Master is a nine-week topical Bible study on the life of Christ designed to give us a personal glimpse into what He taught and how He lived. Sit at the feet of the Master, and let Him teach you through His Words and His life.
An Undivided Heart: A Study of the Kings of Judah
Do you feel as if your heart is divided between God and the world?
God desires a heart wholly devoted to Him. Is that true of us, or have we allowed things of this world to distract us from wholehearted devotion to the King of kings and Lord of lords? Wanted: An Undivided Heart is a seven-week Bible study that takes a birds-eye view of the lives of the kings of Judah. Some were wholly devoted to God, but most struggled with a divided heart. Today, God stills wants an undivided heart – from you and me. What are the things that would tempt us away from wholehearted devotion to God? How do we give our hearts totally to Him? Learn what to do and not to do from the examples of the kings of Judah.
The Gift of Rest
Are you worn out and in need of rest?
It seems we’re all running on empty, in danger of burning out. Is it possible to find rest in these times when life seems to get busier day by day and the demands of life increase by the minute? Is rest feasible when we’re overwhelmed with difficult circumstances out of our control that exhaust us emotionally, mentally, and physically? This study addresses these questions and looks at God’s perspective of rest from Genesis through Revelation. As you study the Scriptures, you will find permission to slow down and freedom to embrace the gift of rest.
Building Your Spiritual Toolbox
Do you want to disciple someone but don’t know where to begin?
Or perhaps you’ve never been discipled and desire to have a solid foundation in your faith. You may feel inadequate to disciple someone because you don’t know what that looks like. This study equips you to build into the lives of others through discipleship, as well as giving you a solid foundation in your own walk with God. Book 1 lays the foundation for the Christian life. Book 2 builds on that foundation and helps you in personal development and growth in the Christian life. Book 3 equips you to answer some of the tough questions that come up about Christianity and the Bible.
Looking Upward: A Study of Hebrews 11:1-22
Do you find it hard to walk by faith?
Do you wish God would write out the blueprint for your life and show you what’s ahead? To be honest, it’s much easier to walk by sight than to trust God for things we can’t see. Yet, God wants us to trust Him in the midst of all circumstances and walk by faith, not by sight. He often does His greatest work in us during those times we must trust Him from corner to corner. This study guides you through the examples of men and women in the book of Genesis who walked by faith and are highlighted in Hebrews 11. Walking by faith isn’t necessarily easy, but they did it, and so can we!
Daniel: Discovering the Courage to Stand for Your Faith
Do you sometimes feel like an alien in a foreign land that doesn’t honor God?
Daniel lived in a time similar to ours today. In Sue Edwards’ study, Daniel: Discovering the Courage to Stand for Your Faith, Sue looks at the life and lessons of Daniel and his companions. They, like so many believers today, faced challenging choices between their love and commitment to God and the aggressive hostility of the godless culture in which they had been placed. This study will encourage you and guide you in standing firm in your faith in a rapidly changing culture.
Going Deeper: A Study of the Attributes of God
How do we view God when life isn’t going as we had hoped and circumstances are hard?
It’s easy to say God is good when life is going great, but not so easy when we face loss and disappointment. The more we know and understand God’s character, the easier it is to walk through those seasons of doubt and discouragement. Going Deeper, an eight-week Bible study is designed to give a glimpse into the character of God by looking at nine of His attributes. As we get to know Him on a deeper level, we can trust His hand in all circumstances.
